Description

Briar Malthouse Cottages is a mid-19th century symmetrical pair of cottages, each two storeys high with two windows. They feature a tiled roof adorned with diaper and other patterns, and a central large rectangular chimney stack with four diagonal flues. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, incorporating blue headers and a blue flush band at the first floor level, along with red rubbed flat arches. The cottages have cast-iron casements and brick gabled porches that include a four-centred rubbed arch with a boarded door inside. The west facade is noted for being unaltered.
