The Thatched Cottage is a 17th and 18th century building located on Northgate Lane in Ellisfield. It is a long, one-storey structure with an attic and features four windows. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half-hipped, with eyebrow dormers above the upper lights. The upper walls are made of exposed timber framing, with painted brick infill and other types of walling. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame.
