Description
Merritt's Farmhouse is an 18th-century L-shaped house that stands two storeys high and features three windows. It has a tall old tile roof that is hipped at the south-east end and gabled at the north-west, with a four-hipped design at the rear that leads to low eaves in the inside angle. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, incorporating blue headers, a first-floor band, cambered ground-floor openings, and a plinth. The upper part of the front (south-west) is tile-hung. The windows are mainly three-light casements. The entrance features a six-panelled door, with two top glazed panels, set in solid frames and located within a modern gabled porch that has brick cheeks.
