Description

This is an 1820 pair of single-storied buildings located on Bagmore Lane in Herriard. Originally, number 4 presented a symmetrical facade with two windows on either side of a central, open lobby. This symmetry has been altered by a subsequent east-side extension, which incorporates a single door and window. The roof is covered with rippled slate. The walls are roughcast, and the window and door openings have cambered arches. The original entrance to number 4 has been filled in with two small windows, although the keystone remains, inscribed with "P.1820". Number 5 retains its original metal casement windows. Later alterations include modernisation to the rear, a side entrance to number 5 on the east side, and the addition of the east-side extension.
