Description
Two houses, dating to around 1820 and 1830, now combined into a single residence. The buildings are constructed of brick with a slate roof. Number 58, on the right, is slightly older and sits at a lower level than number 56. It has two bays, with windows featuring segmental arches above. The left bay has fixed windows with glazing bars, while the right bay features horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars. There is evidence of a blocked doorway towards the right side. Number 56 has a single bay with glazing bar sashes. On the front of number 56, the ground floor wall is blank, while the first floor has a window divided into vertical lights, with overlapping pieces of waste glass. To the right of this window is a doorway with a doorcase featuring moulded pilasters and round cornice mouldings at the corners. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels, with a plain rectangular overlight above. A central ridge chimney serves number 58. The gutter for number 56 is supported by paired timber brackets. The interior of the property was not inspected.
