Description

Woodgate Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse, with later 19th-century alterations. It is timber-framed and built over two storeys, with an irregular arrangement of windows. The roof is tiled and partially hipped at the south end, with a catslide extending for half of the rear (west) elevation and a gabled north end. The timber frame is exposed, primarily on the first floor, with painted brick infill and other walling. Windows are casements, and two 19th-century ‘Tudor’ style bays are supported by brackets, each with a tiled canopy. A modern porch fronts the property, and there is a plain doorway at the rear.
