Description
Nos 2, 4, and 6 on Church Street are a group of cottages dating from the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries, which have been significantly modernised. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic. Nos 2 and 4 feature timber framing that is exposed at the north end, the rear, and within a passageway. They have tile roofs that are half-hipped at the north and include modern dormers. The walls are rendered, with No 2 showcasing an 18th-century front made of red brick in Flemish bond with blue headers. The cottages have casement windows and plain doorways. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century rear extension behind No 2, constructed with red brick in Monk bond.
