Description
Manor Cottage is a small timber-framed house that dates from the 15th, 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries. It features later extensions at each end and is one storey high with an attic, displaying three windows on the front. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped design on the south side, a hipped roof on the north, and a part catslide at the rear, along with eyebrow dormers. The front wall is constructed of red brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers, while the south wall is made of older red brickwork. The north end has a boarded outshot, and the rear shows exposed timber framing with painted brick infill. The windows are casements. There is a small modern porch at the front, but an old boarded door is located at the rear. Inside, the cottage features a massive chimney breast and reveals the original cruck framework.
