Description

The Post Office is a building that dates from the 17th century and has early 19th-century features. It has a symmetrical front facing southwest, consisting of two storeys and four windows, with a central doorway. To the south side, the forecourt has been filled by a flat-roofed shop. The building has a slate roof with decorative bargeboards at the gable ends and rendered walling. It features Victorian sash windows and a six-panelled door set in a solid frame. There is a later shopfront with plain side walls, and part of the original timber-frame structure is visible inside.
