Description

The George Inn dates from the mid-19th century. It is a two-storey building with four windows on the upper floor. The roof is hipped and covered in slate. The main elevation features red brick walling in a Flemish bond pattern, with blue headers, rubbed flat arches, and stone cills. It has Victorian sash windows set in reveals, and two four-panelled doors. The south-east elevation is constructed of flint with red brick quoins, bands, and a plinth. The building is notable for its contribution to the wider group value of buildings in the area.
