Description

The Old Plough is a 17th and 18th century building, originally an inn, and now a single dwelling. It is a long, single-storey and attic range with five ground floor windows and three dormers facing onto the High Street (east). The building has a thatched roof, hipped at the north end and half-hipped at the south end. Rear extensions feature thatching and slate. Exposed timber framing is visible in the south gable and part of the rear wall. The main walls are brickwork with horizontal bands of flush flint panels, incorporating some cambered ground floor openings. Windows are a mix of casements and two Victorian sash windows. A half-glazed door is present; the former doorway is now infilled with flint panels.
