Description

Whynot is a house that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th-century and modern alterations. It is timber-framed and has a brick cladding on the west side. The building is now divided into two units and stands two storeys tall with three windows. It features a tile roof that is half-hipped at the east end. The east side of the house displays an exposed arch-braced frame with red brick infill, including some herringbone patterns. The western wall is constructed of red brickwork in Monk bond, while the center section is roughcast above more recent brickwork. The windows include casements and some older smaller windows with leaded lights. There is a timber porch at the front of Whynot.
