Description
School View Cottages are a pair of cottages located in Waldron, possibly originating from the 17th century but refronted in the early 19th century. They feature a design of red brick with grey headers arranged in a chequerwork pattern, with a lower tile-hung section to the left. The cottages have a tiled roof with four brick chimneystacks, including a brick chimneybreast on the south wall. They are two storeys tall with attics in the gable end and one storey to the left, totaling four windows. The taller section has one six-pane sash window with horns and two casement windows. On the ground floor, there are two sixteen-pane sash windows, one casement window, and two plank doors, all featuring rubbed brick voussoirs. The one-storey tile-hung part has a 19th-century casement window. Number 2 is also known as Ravensroost.
