Description

Shelley Villas, located on Maresfield High Street, comprises two pairs of cottages built in the Tudor Gothic style and exhibiting characteristics of almshouses. Dating to the 18th century, the building has been re-addressed as Nos 26 to 29 High Street, Shelley Villas. The two-storey cottages are constructed primarily of red brick with grey brick headers, featuring red brick to the sides. Each pair is topped with parapets, each including two small gables surmounted by ball finials. The roofs are slate-covered. The windows are casement windows with latticed diamond panes. Recessed gabled porches are located at each end of each pair.
