Description

These are a pair of cottages, dating to circa 1840. They may have formerly served as almshouses. The cottages are built of stone rubble, with a gable-ended slate roof. The gables project over the first-floor windows. The eaves are boxed. Each cottage has one window on each floor; the first floor windows are 2-light casements, while the ground floor windows are 3-light. Simple cottage doors are positioned at each end of the front elevation. Doors and windows are topped with drip moulds. They form a group with White Lodge, Moore Hall, and numbers 34 to 38 Church Street.
