Description

Shirley Cottage and The Old Cottage is a single building dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with plaster infilling, and the timbering is still visible in the upper storeys of The Old Cottage, while the ground floor has been built out. Shirley Cottage has been refronted with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hanging above. The Old Cottage includes a projecting gable. The building has a tiled roof and casement windows with small square panes on the first floor, while the ground floor has modern windows. It stands two storeys high with an attic in the gable and has four windows in total.
