Description
Stone Court is a two-storey building on the south side of Mayfield High Street. It dates from 1641, although it has been substantially altered, restored, and enlarged in the 19th century. The front is ashlar stone, while the rear is tile-hung. The original section of the building consists of two gables that project outwards, supported by moulded bressumers and brackets, and featuring bargeboards. A stone porch is also original to the building. A modern shop front has been built out on the ground floor to the east of the porch. The windows are casement style with stone mullions and transoms.
