Lychgate Cottage is a 17th-century building originally part of the adjacent No. 5, forming an L-shape with it. It is a two-storey cottage with two windows. The front elevation is plastered. The roof is tiled, and a gabled porch was added later. The cottage is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 5, No. 5A, St Peter’s Church, Nos. 6 to 13, and Rimswell Cottage.
