Description

Nos 8 to 16 East Beach Street is a row of weatherboarded net and tackle stores, dating from the 18th or 19th century. At the end of the row is a small two-storey weatherboarded cabin (No 16) featuring a window on the first floor. All the buildings have been converted into small shops with shuttered shop windows on the ground floor. Nos 8 to 12 are two-storey structures with tiled, corrugated asbestos or felted roofs, while Nos 13 to 15 are three-storey buildings with two tiled saddle-back roofs. This group of buildings forms a cohesive architectural ensemble.
