Description

The Anchor Inn is a public house located at No. 13 George Street, built around 1810-1820. It stands four storeys tall and features painted stucco with a hipped tile roof. The ground floor has a wide central doorway adorned with pilasters and a cornice hood, flanked by windows that are divided into three arched panes and set within elliptically arched frames. On the first and second floors, there are two sash windows with glazing bars, while the third floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, all presented in exposed moulded casing. The buildings on George Street are recognized as a group for their architectural significance.
