Description

No. 5 Waltham Road is a 17th-century cottage. The upper part of the building features a timber frame with painted brick infilling, while the lower part is made of painted brick. It has an old tiled roof and flanking chimneys, with the left chimney being large and having vertical offsets and an offset head. The entrance front has two bays on each floor, which contain three and two-light leaded casement windows, along with a central half-glazed 20th-century entrance door. There is also a small single-storey 20th-century extension set back on the right, which has a tiled gable roof.
