Description
Wiltshire Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 17th century, with extensions and alterations made in the late 18th century and mid-20th century. The building features a mix of materials, including part timber framing encased in painted brick, part painted brick, and part rendered and painted surfaces. It has an old tile gabled roof and is designed in an L-plan with two framed bays, originally having extensions to the northwest that create an irregular layout. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has large chimneys on the ridge and the front roof slope to the right of the centre, with additional chimneys at the rear.
The road-facing side includes a painted plat band at the first-floor level and boxed eaves, with two bays featuring sash windows with glazing bars; the larger sash window is located on the left side of the ground floor. The north gable wall displays exposed timber framing. Inside, there is a 17th-century chimney piece in the drawing room, which is elaborately carved with fruit and foliage ornament, along with a moulded cornice.
