Description
Nos. 1 and 3 Rectory Road is a mid-19th century service wing, now used as offices, that adjoins No. 41 Broad Street (Colborn House), which is listed separately. The building has been altered in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick with a slate gabled roof and consists of two storeys. The eaves are corbelled in brick, and there are two corbelled ridge chimneys. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and gauged brick arches, arranged irregularly. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows and one smaller window to the left of a four-panelled entrance door to No. 3, which is framed by a moulded architrave with a pediment. The first floor features three sash windows, with one bay sash window to the right. There is an additional sash window on the ground floor, followed by a four-panelled entrance door to No. 1, which is set under a segmental arched brick head.
