Description

58 Thames Street is a mid-18th century building that was altered around 1830 to 1850. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of light red brick, featuring darker red brick dressings. The second floor has a brick band, and there is a stone cornice and blocking course from the 1830 to 1850 period. The upper floors have three windows, which are recessed glazing bar sashes with cambered gauged brick arches. The shop front has been modernised. The house door is panelled and glazed, topped with a rectangular fanlight, and is flanked by thin pilasters and shallow brackets supporting a deep flat hood. This building, along with Nos 56 to 58 and Nos 61 and 62, forms a group.
