Description

The King George V Memorial, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, was built in 1936 and is located on the east side of Thames Street. It is made of Portland stone and features a central pedestal that supports a crown, orb, and scepters resting on a cushion. In front of the pedestal, there is a rectangular pool that is flanked by fountains designed as shallow basins.
