Description

Nos 24 and 25 on High Street are a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are cement rendered and stand three storeys tall, featuring four double-hung sash windows set in reveals with sills. The windows of No 24 have been restored after previous alterations, including the removal of an inharmonious first bay window. The ground floor has four- and three-panelled doors that are accessed via stone steps, flanked by narrow panelled pilasters and a continuous entablature. There is a 19th-century bay oriel window on the right side, and the building is topped with a parapet. Nos 17 to 33 on the street form a group with these houses.
