Description
Nos 118, 118A, and 119 on High Street are late 18th-century buildings constructed from red brick. They rise three storeys and feature a symmetrical arrangement of windows with one window, three windows, and one window, all of which are double-hung sashes, mostly from the 19th century, set in surrounds with sills and flat arches. The facade has slight central projections with a shop front, as well as a shop front on the right, both dating from the 19th century. The left side of the ground floor has a wooden band at window head level, a doorway with narrow panelled pilasters, a fanlight, and a six flush panel door. The right side has a similar door with a panelled surround and a bracketed hood. Nos 118 and 119 have timber-framed back wings that are one storey high with attics, featuring red brick nogging that is whitewashed. The wing at No 119 has a king post in the north gable, which is at right angles to the main building. No 118 also has a timber-framed barn at the back that is joined to the house. These buildings form a group.
