Description

No 2 Clarence Road is a building dating from around 1830 to 1840. It is two storeys high, constructed of stock brick with a stucco plinth. The building features a coping topped by a blocking course at the parapet and thin brick quoin pilasters. There are three symmetrical windows with painted flat arches and no glazing bars on the recessed sashes. The entrance is segmental arched and recessed for one order, featuring an elliptical fanlight with a close-set oval glazing pattern, although it has a modern door. No 2 Clarence Road, along with Nos 2, 6 to 10 (even) and 10A St Leonard's Road, forms a group.
