Description

This is a row of four stock brick houses, numbered 6 to 9 Trinity Place, dating from around 1840. The houses are three storeys high with basements and are characterised by stucco flanking pilasters and decorative detailing between the properties. A plat band, frieze, dentil cornice, and blocking course run along the facade. Each house has two windows, featuring recessed sash windows with marginal glazing and flat arches over the ground floor windows. The entrance doors are four or six panel doors, each topped with a rectangular fanlight. Numbers 8 and 9 feature ornate console brackets supporting pierced stone balustrades over the shared entrances. The houses, together with Holy Trinity Church and numbers 1 to 10 Claremont Road, form a notable group.
