Description

The Church of St John the Evangelist, built between 1852 and 1854 and designed by architect B. Ferrey, is a notable example of the Decorated style. The church features a nave, aisles, chancel, south chapel, and a northeast tower. It is constructed from limestone, specifically Bath stone, and Kentish Ragstone, topped with a slate roof. The churchyard contains several well-carved tombstones.
