Description

The Lawn is a late 18th century red brick house, now converted into flats. It has a Welsh slate roof and a parapet. The building presents a low, long, asymmetrical facade, with a splayed bay at the right-hand end featuring a scalloped blind hood. The two storeys contain 5:3 double-hung sash windows in reveals with flat arches. The window above the front door has no glazing bars. A central, closed porch with a parapet and flat roof is located on the right side. The two-fold door has four fielded panels with a round arched top, set within an architrave surround featuring consoles and a pediment. The first floor has cast iron balconettes; the right-hand balcony has stone brackets and a cast iron railing. A central first-floor window within the bay has raised impost bands and a round-headed arch. Above this window is a raised oblong panel, and sunk circular panels are positioned over the side windows of the bay. The building is finished with a cyma recta stucco cornice.
