Description

The milestone opposite number 34 on Bath Road is an 18th-century stone that has been reset. It features incised Roman lettering on the east face, which reads: "To - Reading 12 miles, Bath 8, Henley 8, Oxford 31." The west face has the inscription: "To - Hyde Park Corner 27 miles, Maidenhead 1, Colnbrook 10." At the bottom on the front, it is marked with "Bray Parish."
