Description

Vicarage Lodge is a coach house, dating from 1854 to 1857, and later converted into a dwelling. It was built by G.E. Street, using brick in a style matching that of nearby buildings but with a simpler design. The front elevation, facing the road, is plain, featuring three casement windows set in deep reveals, with stone flat arches above and sills below. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in plain tiles, with a single storey and attic arrangement. The north-west elevation has three hipped dormers, one louvre, and a roofline that breaks the eaves. This elevation contains three ground-floor windows with semi-circular heads, set within segmental brick arches. Chimneys are positioned on either side. Ornate rainwater heads remain at each end of the north-west elevation.
