Description
33 Peascod Street is a building dating from around 1800, originally part of a pair. It is two storeys tall and has a stucco facade with a cornice and parapet. The roof is a mansard style, covered with slate and featuring two dormers. The first floor has two 19th-century sash windows, while the ground floor has a modern shop front. At the rear of this house, in the yard of the Bakers Arms, there is a remaining section of a 17th-century timber-framed building of box frame type. This part is also two storeys high and has one small window at first floor level, with painted brick nogging and an old tiled roof. Inside, the first floor features 18th-century panelling and a corner fireplace, although the roof is not accessible.
