Description
Crown Cottages, built in 1855, is a group of estate cottages located on the west side of King's Road. Likely designed by Teulon, this Gothic-style, two-storey building is constructed of red brick with gault brick banding. The structure features two broad gables on either side of a central chimney stack, which has a date plaque. To the left, there are two smaller gables above the first-floor windows. The ground floor is supported by stepped brick buttresses. The windows are wood mullioned casements, with some having gault brick pointed relieving arches on the first floor. The cottage doors are plain. Crown Cottages forms a group with the adjacent Nos 1 to 6 Crown Cottages and Queen Anne's Gate Lodge on the east side of King's Road.
