Description

Crown Cottages, located on King's Road, were built in 1853, likely by the architect Teulon. This group of estate cottages is arranged in an inter-linked L-plan and consists of six cottages, each two storeys high. They are constructed of red brick with gault brick banding and feature irregular gables. The roofs are tiled and include grouped Jacobeathan chimneys or external chimney stacks. The windows are wood casements with two and three lights, set in mullioned and transomed designs. The doorways are plain. Crown Cottages, along with Queen Anne's Gate Lodge, form a group with the similar cottages numbered 7 to 12 on the opposite side of the road.
