Description

Albert Terrace, dating circa 1850-60, is a slightly Gothicised terrace of three storeys and basements. It comprises Nos 100 to 110 (even) on the west side of King’s Road. The buildings are constructed of red brick with grey headers. The central pair features crow-stepped stone gables, flanked by projecting pairs with linked straight gables. The windows are paired and tripled sashes, set within cambered arches with chamfered reveals, stucco keys, and corner blocks. The doorways are pointed arched, with similar patterns, and have flights of steps. The terrace is included in the listing primarily for its group interest. It forms a group with Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Queen’s Terrace, the gate piers, and forecourt wall of Queen’s Terrace, along with Hamilton Lodge.
