Description

Cookham Bridge is a river bridge dated 1867, constructed from cast iron. It features seven piers, of which two have been replaced. The bridge has a parapet adorned with quatrefoil tracery and a wooden rail above. Similar quatrefoil tracery is present in the arch spandrels. An iron plate on the west side of the bridge reads: "PEASE HUTCHINSON AND CO / 1867 / Engineers and Iron Manufacturers / Skerne Iron Works / Darlington."
