Description
The stables and attached cartshed at Lot Farm, located about 45 metres southeast of the farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. The cartshed is timber framed, while the stables are constructed of brick, both featuring an old tile half-hipped roof, with the cartshed being lower in height. The buildings have a rectangular plan, consisting of four bays for the stables and three bays for the cartshed.
On the north side, which faces the yard, the cartshed is open. The stables include three small sash windows with glazing bars and segmental heads, along with two plank doors. There is a hay loft entry in the centre, which breaks the eaves and has a plank door topped with a small hipped roof. The cartshed and stables are adjacent to a cowshed to the north, and together with a small barn, which is listed separately, they form the south side of an enclosed farmyard.
