Description

Garden Lodge, now a house, was built in the early 19th century and has been altered and extended in the early and late 20th century. It features painted rough-cast walls and slate gabled roofs, designed in a Gothic style with an irregular plan. The building is single storey and has one chimney with a clay pot. The eaves overhang and are supported by large, curved brackets. The gables in the main section have scalloped bargeboards.

On the east (entrance) elevation, there is a central six-panelled door flanked by a two-light casement window on each side, all featuring shallow ogee heads with Gothick glazing. Above the door is an eight-cusped wheel window with leading, and the windows have shutters. To the left, there is a slightly projecting single-storey extension with a 20th-century three-light casement window that has glazing bars. To the right, a pent extension set back under the extended roof includes a half-glazed door and a small window with an ogee head. The interior has not been inspected.
