Description
Speen Court, originally built in the mid-18th century before 1768, is a house of which the two-storey southern part still stands. The building was heightened with early 19th-century additions and now has three storeys. It features a double-fronted design with five windows and a hipped tile roof, complemented by moulded brick stacks. The exterior is made of multi-coloured stock brick, adorned with pilaster strips at the corners. The central three bays slightly project and are topped with a pediment, featuring a stucco tympanum. There is a moulded brick course and an original string course at the second-floor level. On the west elevation, there is a two-storey early 19th-century brick bow window with three lights. The recessed sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars. The central entrance is half-glazed and includes a fanlight. A modern addition has been made to the rear of the building.
