Description
Northbrook House is an early 19th century building that features a mid 19th century attic storey and bay windows on the ground floor. It stands three storeys tall with an attic and has a double-fronted main west facade with three windows. There is a window return to the road, which has blind windows on the first and second floors. The house has a hipped slate roof and is constructed of red brick, with oversailing brick eaves cornice. The recessed sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches. On either side of the entrance are three-light bay windows that have hipped leaded roofs. The entrance is marked by a good cast-iron trellis porch with a tented roof, leading to a doorway that features a rectangular fanlight and a panelled door. Additionally, there is a garden gateway with brick piers topped by balls.
