Description
The linking corridor and dormitories adjoining the dining hall to the southwest at Bradfield College were built around 1868, likely designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in a neo-Gothic style. The structure is made of flint with brick dressings, featuring lacing courses and alternating brick and tile relieving arches. The ground floor projects to the left and includes a plinth, cill string, and a stone-coped parapet. The roof is covered with old tiles and has an end stack to the left, along with two large tile-hung gabled eaves dormers on the left that contain twin sash windows, and two tile-hung gabled dormers on the right, also with twin sashes. The building has two and a half storeys on the left and two storeys with an attic on the right. The first floor on the left is set back and has two 2-light windows, while the ground floor features three windows with three cusped lights. On the right side, there is one 2-light and one 3-light first floor window, each with cusped heads, and a ground floor segmental-headed cross window with cusped upper lights. Additionally, there is a segmental arched doorway to the left with chamfered jambs and a boarded door adorned with vigorous local ironwork. This building is included for its group value.
