Description
The stable block, located approximately 40 metres north of Bucklebury House, dates from around 1700. It is constructed of red brick and features a plat band. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, with the hipped sections extending forward over slightly projecting wings on both the left and right. There are end stacks and three hipped dormers, each containing 2-light leaded casements, with one dormer over each wing and one in the centre. The building has a shallow U-plan and consists of two storeys and an attic.
On the east front, there are three first-floor 3-light leaded oval windows, each adorned with four rubbed brick keystones—one in each wing and one in the centre. The design is symmetrical around a central stable door, which has a rectangular window above it. To the right of the stable door, there is a 2-light leaded casement window. The stable door is located in the right wing, above which is another 2-light window, with a 2-light leaded casement to its right.
