Description
Nos. 35, 35A, and 37A on High Street is a house that has been converted into three shops. It dates from the 17th century but was refaced in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame with a red brick facade that is slightly set back and lower on the left side, topped with an old tile roof. It has three framed bays and stands two storeys tall, with a coped parapet and a stack located behind the ridge to the right. On the first floor, there are two sash windows to the right with segmental heads and exposed wooden boxes, and a sash window to the left with a gauged head, although the top half is blind with a two-light casement window beneath. The ground floor has three 20th-century shop fronts that include plate glass windows, glazed doors, and fascias above.
