Description
The walled garden and terrace, located approximately 20 metres to the south-west of Ufton Court, dates from around 1700. It covers an area of approximately 50 metres square and features varying heights. The structure is built of red brick, with plain and angled brick coping. In the centre to the north-east, there are 13 steps leading up to the terrace, which is bordered by a curving stone-coped parapet and rusticated brick piers adorned with stone dressings and globe finials. To the south-west, there are two square gate piers topped with stone urn finials, along with a wrought iron gate that has an overthrow. The terrace wall on the north-west side is supported by eight large buttresses.
