Description

Wash Common Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century and later. It is constructed of painted brick with a tiled roof, the latter being half-hipped to the left. A cross wing was added in the late 18th century and has a hipped front. Chimneys are positioned on the ridge above the entrance, behind, and on the ridge of the cross wing to the right. The entrance has been altered to a lobby style, with a 20th-century porch over the central doorway. The ground floor has one casement window to each side on both storeys. To the left is an addition with one casement on each storey. The cross wing to the right is slightly higher, with a casement on the ground floor and a glazing bar sash window above. The north front features three ground floor casement windows and two glazing bar sash windows above.
