Description
The Old Vicarage is a house, originally built in 1869 as a vicarage by William Butterfield, and designed in the Gothic style. The building is constructed of red brick with bands and dressings of blue brick, incorporating diaper patterning. It has a tiled roof, which is partly gabled and partly hipped. The property is two storeys high, with chimneys on the ridges featuring dovetail offsets. The brickwork includes gables and toothed eaves. Windows are sash windows, some with chamfered brick lintels and relieving arches made of blue brick. A recessed entry porch is located in the internal corner of the north-projecting gable.
