Description
Beech Hill Cottage is a large cottage dating from the 16th century, with extensions from the 19th century and alterations in the 20th century. It is partly timber-framed with painted brick infill, and partly painted brick, with an old tile roof that is partly hipped and partly half-hipped. The rectangular plan encompasses five framed bays, with a 19th-century extension to the rear. The cottage has two storeys. There is one chimney on the ridge to the left, and two further flanking chimneys. Scattered 2-light casements from the early 20th century are present; the front has a plain boarded entrance door under a plain, flat porch supported by square wooden posts. The interior features visible timber framing and an inglenook fireplace.
