Description
This barn, located to the south-west of Leigh Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and is connected to a 19th-century byre to the north. It features a corrugated iron roof and weatherboard cladding on a timber frame, while the byre is constructed of brick. The barn consists of five bays with a central entry and an aisle to the east that has a hipped entry. Inside, it has queen strut trusses with high collars and double butt purlins, which are supported by wind braces to the upper purlins. The posts display splayed jowels.
